Well, I'm finally a legit Lightwave owner!
So, I'm looking for this great new "$1,000" feature called metaform that
people are using to turn cubes into cars into political candidates, but I
can't find it. Finally I use Dopus to search through the Modeler file for the
word "Meta" and find it under the Subdivide button. So it's a new kind of
subdivision.
So I subdivide an entire cube, which then seems to turn into a rough sphere.
Cool! So I play. And Play. And play. And decide that I need some help.
The manual addendum has about three short paragraphs on what Metaform does,
but very little on how to use it. The most helpful sentence is "Metaform
surfaces are extremely sensitive to the geometry of the strarting shape".
Still, not much help.
Would someone (Stuart) be kind enough to whip up a descriptive and through
tutorial for this new feature? It seems powerfull, but that doesn't do me a
whole lot of good if I don't know how to use it effectively...
Thanks.
